Hi Everyone! As I have been away over summer, I was unable to write any content or upload anything to the Instagram page, however I am now back in Manchester, ready to get back to updating you guys with the latest goings on.
As I am sure you are all aware, just before summer, we teamed up with the guys over at Solita Restaurants to run a competition on our Instagram page for a £50 food and drink voucher! We had loads of entries, so thanks to everyone for getting involved and keep your eyes peeled for the next competition to be run in the near future.
Solita Restaurants
Solita is a very popular Burger and Grill restaurant chain that have had restaurants residing all over Manchester. They currently have 2 locations; one in the Northern Quarter and another in Didsbury. The quirky, modern US-style restaurant and bar offer a variety of food, drinks and desserts, always made and presented to perfection by their fantastically talented chefs and their super friendly front of house teams. The atmosphere the staff bring to the restaurant gives them that extra added value that’s appreciated by all their customers who visit. The restaurant is immensely proud of their famous Wagyu beef steaks and burgers, that have been a huge hit with many of their customers and in recent times they have also introduced more vegetarian and vegan alternatives. However, they also offer other options for you non-beef lovers such as Chicken, Seafood, Hotdogs and Salads, so no matter who you bring with you, there is definitely something for everyone here!
Personal Recommendation
I recently popped into the Didsbury restaurant for lunch with a friend and we were incredibly delighted with the both the quality of service and food that was delivered. We decided to go all out and order lots of the menu! We started with Crispy Fried Shrimp and the Solita Sharer (highly recommend!!) – this consists of choosing any 4 combination between a list of sides/starters, we went with: Halloumi Fries, Korean Chicken Wings, Mac & Cheese Balls and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls – DELICIOUS!!
With so much choice from the menu, it took us a while to finally choose mains that were really calling out to us! Wagyu Beef Burgers, Buttermilk Chicken Burgers, Denver Steaks, Bacon Cheddar Chicken Wings, Pizza and Nacho Hot Dogs, seriously it was a hard decision. After long deliberations we decided to go with the Bacon Double Cheese Burger and the Signature Veggie Burger, plus with all burgers, fries are already included which is always an added bonus. To spice things up for you adventurous bunch you can up upgrade your fries to sweet potato fries, halloumi fries, pizza or cheeseburger fries?!?! I can gladly say I made the best decision possible, my Wagyu Burger was mouth-watering, full of juice, flavour and cooked to perfection.
Bar Menu
Many of my favourite restaurants in Manchester may have food menu’s spoiling you for choice, yet their drinks menu can sometimes be limiting and boring. Solita however, challenge my usual expectation x1000, with over 14 Beers, 12 Wines and almost 20 Cocktails to choose from their drinks menu.
Draught, Craft, American or Italian beer? Take your pick, with everything under £5 why not have a couple! Having a classy evening? Bottles of wine range from £17-24 – all your favourites, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Rioja and Prosecco. Heading out for a big night with your mates, grab yourselves a couple signature Solita cocktails to start your night as you mean to go on!
Christmas Menu
Its only September, but Solita are way ahead of the game, to reserve a table for your works Christmas lunch or your family get together in the festive season, visit the website to make a reservation soon as they get very busy around this time!
The Christmas Party Menu consist of a set menu of either 2 (£18.90) or 3 (£23.90) courses and it sounds incredibly tasty. Pigs in Blankets Spring Rolls, Solita Christmas Wings, Christmas Burgers for both meat eaters and veggies, Giant Pig in Blanket Hotdogs and many other options.
